Living inside the art of life is my jam. My long-standing belief coincides with my experience that there are no accidents and harmony exists even in the midst of chaos. Doing my best to accept and thrive in the challenging process of life. Creating places in art which freeze this acceptance into a visual is my goal.

The moment in time gets witnessed when moving parts are paused and get viewed as a still-life, or as a single frame from a motion picture. Part of a story is told there. Perhaps a mystery is sensed.

The beginning is spontaneous without intention…a mark or a splash of paint to warm up the canvas…but what follows necessitates an attitude of trusting which connects with what “wants” to happen.

Staring

staring
the dark void
becomes the dark veil
like death, permeable

but, still breathing
pulsing
life becoming
more real
more light

energy manifesting in
a column of clear white
going up and
coming down
a communication
a yearning for something
that is already there

heart reflections in rippling waves
drops mingling with tears
the perfect circle shooting out
into four directions
spreading over the land
painting happiness
with Light

"When judgement of self or worry about what some future viewer might think, the flow stops. Until one reorganizes one’s thinking, the process cannot continue unimpeded. A work is finished when all the moving parts have found their place, and a satisfaction is felt. I believe this happens when the inner blends with the outer in harmony, in a sense of “rightness.” Brushes are the sacred tools, and doing art is for me a spiritual practice which helps me understand and appreciate the interconnectedness inherent in everything."
